Mezcalectric is a 6-piece Eindhoven band, made up of former members of groups such as Candybar Planet, Tupelo Honey, The Spades and Moonstorm.

The music of Mezcalectric is a mixture of solid Seventies Rock with a large dose of Southern Rock, and just a pinch of Psychedelica.

The basis consists of bass, drums and percussion. Two electric guitars, strong, soulful vocals, and a rich sauce of classic keys complete the feast.

The band opened for Eagles of Death Metal and Parlor Mob, and is steadily earning an excellent live reputation.

Full length debut CD "Gold Sputtered Membranes" on recordlabel Tear It Up Records gets its baptism late januari 2010.

You can’t deny the world-wide impact of Dutch music in the 1960’s, remember bands like The Outsiders and Q65.
Influenced by Dutch beat, but also early American garagepunk and underground comix, Fury 161 took it upon themselves to spread the word of FUZZ once again.
”All-star Wrestling Matches” the first 4-track 7inch was released in 2001, after this stages were shared with the likes of the Nomads, the Rapiers, Zeke, Peter Pan Speedrock, and the Dirtbombs to name but a few.
In 2005 a 10inch/cd called “los Reyes de la Carretera” was released , 7 tracks of the BEST garagerock coming from the lowlands since decades.
And don’t only take our word for it!
However, disaster struck heavily when their bassplayer disappeared into thin air, together with all equipment, never to be seen again.
As I’m sure you’ll understandJ, this led to some line-up changes.

"Do my thing". Een eigenwijze titel voor een eigenwijze band die een vernieuwende invloed heeft op de Bluesmuziek in Nederland. Barbabob blijft dicht bij de kern van de alternatieve mississippi deltablues door zonder compromissen alles rechtvooruit te spelen.
Met Theo van Rock (o.a. producer van Henri Rollins band, Sonic Youth, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, USA) en Roel Blommers (o.a.The Spades, NL) als producers werd het rauw live-geluid doeltreffend op de plaat gezet. De knallende energie van het viertal is behouden gebleven en nieuwe tracks zijn toegevoegd waaronder ook akoestische rootsblues nummers die op het ouvre van Seasick Steve, Son House en Robert Johnson niet zouden misstaan.
Live werd de afgelopen jaren indruk gemaakt op hoofdpodia zoals de Effenaar, Eindhoven. Rauwe uptempo rootsblues met een gitarist die de slide snoeihard laat glijden en een zanger die alles en iedereen omver huilt!!
Knallende hardblues met getergd stemgeluid. De invloeden van Son House, White Stripes, The Cramps en Rory Gallagher zijn terug te horen maar Barbabob slaagt er in om er een eigen geluid neer te zetten. Barbabob knalt up tempo rauwe rootsblues het publiek in waarbij stil staan geen optie is. Een cd (Barbabob - Barbabob) werd in eigen beheer uit gebracht. Het ronkende slide-gitaargeluid van Joost 't Hoen, Jack van der Kruijs; vocals en bluesharp; de waanzin nabij, Ferran Huijsmans op basgitaar en Edgar Berkhout achter drums en percussie weten een geluid samen te smeden wat staat als een huis. De regionale podia werden in 2008 bestormd waarbij de band indruk wist te maken en dat smaakt naar meer.

For more than five years Bobby Kingsize has shown to be one of the most exiting rock bands of the Netherlands. They performed throughout the country, in small clubs and bars, but also in bigger venues like Effenaar, Melkweg en Paradiso. The band from Utrecht shared the stage with bands like The Supersuckers and The Datsuns. In 2009 the guys are ready for yet another tour. With a new bassplayer
(Robert Adriaansen: The Vibrotones / The Riots), a new recordlabel (Tear it up Records) and a new album. After their succesfull debut No.1, the band is back with the EP Summer Is Leaving Town. The EP will be released in February as a vinyl + CD package. To promote their new work over the next moths the band will hit the road and come to a stage near you.

Sometimes it’s hard to find words to explain what you feel…

Listening to new artists and music, you often look for recognitions and comparison. All things have been done before and find its echo in the past: it’s retro-time.
However, we are rarely surprised by new artists, who succeed in creating an own and unique sound. Of course, they have been listening to other bands and music, but they know to combine several elements and influences into their own, headstrong and characteristic sound and performance.

It’s hard to summarize the genre and sound of the Goods in a one-liner. Their music is energetic, dynamic and thrilling; an overwhelming, catchy mix of hardrock, classic-, punk- and garagerock. Straightforward, raw and with an unpolished energy and power.
Their bond is solid: they have grown up together from a child age and steadily raised their musical level. Living in the healthy rock-environment of Eindhoven, the Goods have created their own sound and space, resulting in a young and most feminine following.

During the last year, the band has been working on songs and live-performance, in order to prepare themselves for their debut-release. In this way they also presented the band outside the Eindhoven area, leaving a promising impression at some clubs and festivals. On Saturday Night Sermon they re-write the New Testament in 5 songs. No time to rest, Judgement Day is coming.

THE MAYHEM OF 60’s ALBINO GUTTERPUNK

They boiled up from the sewers of Rotterdam in 2000.
Inspired by the likes of: Sparkles , monks , standells and other giants of the 60’s garage era, they soon found their own garage to start bumping and grinding.
This resulted in a 4 track 7inch released in 2001 the “allstar wrestling matches”,
which got good reviews worldwide.
After this fine piece of work they we’re joined by the mighty Don Juan peyote,
who completed the band and made things a little smoother.
This resulted in more gigs with the likes of: zeke / nomads / hard feelings.
Soon after this Don larvey k-tel (vocals) called it a day.
The mighty fury had a big tour coming up so they decided to let Don de la tourette take over vocals and Don druff grabbed the bass (everybody still following?)
They premiered in this line up on the “revenge of the rock’n roll monsters” tour starring: Peter pan speedrock, Apers , Spades & El guapo stuntteam, which turned out to be a big success.
After that they started working on new songs which resulted in “ los reyes de la carretera ” ( 7 tracks of the best soulstompin’ garagepunk that ever came from the lowlands)
Restored to a 5 piece outfit (Don perignon has joined the ranks) they are now ready to bring this mayhem upon you.

Wayback in the year 1966 The Rolling Stones produced brilliant records.
Former band genius Brain Jones looked like he dominated everything that's
cool. What we didn't know back then is that the blond fellow knicked every
fashionable idea from poor old American negroes. Did we care back then and
do we care now? No Mam! Because of his animal like behaviour he managed to
put up a swinging, catching, dangerous and grinding guitar sound in rhythm
and blues. And until this day no one managed to copy that, except for just
one band. Shutdown 66 that is. This bunch picked the old Van The Man as a
band leader and tries to tear down every collector's fair with its liquid
organs and crispy guitars.
The Belgian based Evil Thingies top it all off. Not a single Brain Jones
lookalike in their sight. No, no, they take The Sonics as their major
inspiration. Freakbeat or should we say fries beat? Yes please! Fries from
Belgium are the best with a thick lick of sour mayonaise.

The Eindhoven based 69 Charger did light up candles in Eindhoven light town with previous vinyl stuff. Now the rest of Holland has to be targeted with their righteous rock city-attitude, their New Bomb Turks guitar driven sounds and their vocal parts sung by The Lucy Dee's Angels. With all that in mind, it shouldn't be too hard to conquer all over the Netherlands.
The Riots from Utrecht know the pop encyclopedia by heart. They've simply found one hell of a formula to redefine rock again; with some bits of Motörhead, Status Quo and Zen Guerilla, people are easily satisfied. Oh yeah, and he combines all these things up to a fine blend. It is like horrorporn. Musically The Tijunana Bibles know how to handle their evil surf music. Link Wray, The Demolition Doll Rods and the Shangri La·s have been put together in a hardball way by the kings of smut and underground independent film. Expect pure rock as in razorsharp surf music and violent punk. The Tijuana Bibles do know American history. And that is not bad for a bunch of Canadians.
